Grooverider

Really needs no introduction, one of the pioneers of today's Dance music scene right from way back in 88 till this present day.

Alongside Fabio, Grooverider started at a rave in lodon caled "rage", then went nto playing at all the big raves such as Fantazia, Energy, Biology, Helter Skelter, Quest just to mention a few.

Grooverider has not only a massive following in the UK but overseas too having played to the crowds in Japan, Germany, Italy.

Grooverider can be found on the famous 97-99 FM Radio one show on a Friday night. Grooverider aka the Godfather

 

Golide

DJ Goldie hailing from Walsall, West midlands, is drum and bass's first celebrity having made many TV and Film appearances including celebrity big brother.

Goldie started his trade in the graffiti scene becoming of one Britain leading graffers at the time. Moving across the atlantic appearing in Africa Bambatta's feature film 'Bombing'.

It was in 1990, that Golide returned to the London, Goldie was a regular at Fabio and Groovierider's club Rage, in 1992 whilst working for Reinforced records he produced his first track.

Golide alongside Doc Scott, set up their own label Metalheadz. His earlier releases were released under the moniker Rufige Kru ie 'Terminator' the signature to the dark core era. From here he created his masterpiece album 'Timeless' engineered by 'Moving shadows Rob Playford.

Timeless shot straight in at number 7 in the albums chart a first a drum and bass record.

Glenn Aston

Based in the West Midlands, U.K Glenn started experimenting with mixing back in 1985 with electro music. Glenn grew up listening to many of the early electro albums also watching films like: Beat street, Breakdance 1 & 2 and wildstyle. Glenn was also involved in the grafitti scene and was a founder member of 'The Rogue Troopers' (Rgt) with Chu.

In 1988 Glenn met a guy Jem Atkin's who was a very talented scratch dj back in 88. He showed Glenn the ropes and gave Glenn alot of surport over the next couple of years.

Glenn is known for playing oldskool (rave/jungle/house) from 1986-1994

DJ Gammer

DJ Gammer at such a young tender age has accomplished far what many would only dream of.

Gammers talent was spotted by Hardcore legend DJ Dougal and was signed to his essential platinum.

Gammer has produced a range of tracks from being vocally and uplifting to the bouncier sounds and the harder elements of hardcore. With releases on a number of the leading labels in the hardcore scene showing his versatility as a producer.

DJ Hype

DJ Hype's career started in the early 80's with theh the Shut Up And Dance crew, in Hackney North London working on their sound system.

In 1989 hype's turntables skills grew to the extent of winning the London heat of the 1989 DMC’s and going on to represent Britain in the European championships.

In 1990, Hype co-produced "The Exorcist" and "The Bee" as The Scientist on Kickin' Records. Producing for other labels including Suburban base.

In 1994 Ganja records was born with fellow producer from suburban Base DJ Pascal. Hype, Pascal and Zinc Formed True Playaz in 1997.

In 2001 Hype won Best DJ at the Accelerated Drum and Bass Awards.

 

DJ Hixxy

DJ Hixxy a household name in the rave scene, hailing form the South coast playing at the infamous Rhythm station where he made his DJ name alongside the likes of Ramos and Supreme etc.

Meeting up with DJ Dougal him and Hixxy forged a credible relationship, creating the Essential Platinum label. It was in 1995 that Hixxy got his massive break working alongside MC Sharkey and producing Toytown.

The following year later Hixxy and Sharkey made their first compilation album 'Bonkers'.

Fastrack to late 2000 Hixxy created the Raver Baby label, and now with fellow DJ's Breeze and Styles.

Raver Baby has gone onto won many awards wining The Best Record Label consecutively since the Hardcore Heaven Awards started in 2003. With Hixxy wining Outstanding Contribution to Hardcore in 2004 & 2005.
