Amnesia House
The Ultimate Rave Experience Part III
Saturday 4th October 2025
Kasbah
Coventry
2025 has seen Amnesia taking a northern trip to Liverpool as
they collaborated with Up the Dock over the summer, whilst
partying on the white isle of Ibiza at Slipback in Time. Amnesia
returned back to their home town in Coventry to present The
Ultimate Rave Experience Part III at the Kasbah.
For their penultimate party of the year Amnesia assembled a
line-up featuring many legends of rave from the past 35 years,
welcoming a Moving Shadow takeover of the drum and bass arena.
Approaching the Kasbah you could hear the party was in full
swing, as the bass was thumping from the outdoor garden arena.
Got my ticket scanned and a quick search from security headed
through the double doors and onto the dance floor.
Finishing up in the main arena with ‘You’ve got the Love’ was
Jumping Jack Frost. It was PA time from one of the pioneers of
midlands hardcore, Nebula II. I headed to the balcony to watch
the show, Nebula II got thing going and opened up with
‘Flatliners’.
Being on the balcony you can watch the madness of the dance
floor whilst having a great view of the massive LED wall on
stage, strobe boxes that lit up the balcony, accompanied by a
the Laser show which illuminated the arena. Nebula II was armed
with PA paraphernalia, dropping plenty of Reinforced classics
including ‘Seance’, ‘X-Plore H-Core’ and ‘Atheama’.
Next up was the Amnesia House original residents Shock C and
MC Hi Fi, really enjoyed this set a solid party set with lots of
crate digging as expected from the Don Christies legend. Shock C
laid down numerous 91-92 slammers including ‘The Tape, ‘ Night
in motion’, ‘Lets do it’ whilst he got the crowd jumping with
‘Move your body’.
MC Hi Fi was rocking the Coventry crowd in control, I really
enjoyed the 2nd half of Shock C’s set plenty of bleepy tracks
with ‘NJoi’s – Adrenalin’, ‘Chime Mutation’, ‘Surgery’ and
‘Energiser’.
Making their Amnesia House debut was the legendary Moving
Shadow duo, 2 Bad Mice who opened up with ‘Egyptian Empire – The
Horn Track’. Mad P was on mic duties for this set a firm Amnesia
House favourite who had the crowd reciting his lyrics throughout
the set. 2 Bad Mice played an early 90’s set as they dropped
tracks such as ‘NHS’, ‘Get down’ and of course their colossal
rave classic ‘Bombscare’.
Of course when you have Mad P hosting your set, you have to
play the Topbuzz anthem ‘Living in Darkness’. Mad P dedicated
this to his mother as it was the 40th anniversary of her passing
RIEP Cynthia Jarrett.
Briefly popped into the drum and bass arena to catch
Sleepless and TNT tearing down with a DNB classic set. The left
wing was rammed whilst the duo took the crowd back to the 00’s
whilst mixing over 3 decks. The energy from Sleepless was unreal
playing classics such as ‘Be True’, ‘Signs’, High contrast of ‘
Renegade Snares’ and ‘Satellite Type 2’.
Back to the main arena and time for the second PA of the
evening from Production House’s very own The House Crew. Really
enjoyed the stage show from the trio as Nino and Micro hyping up
the crowd, bouncing around on stage. Nino rapped to his record
‘All we wanna do is dance’ before unleashing the House crew
monster ‘Keep the fires burning’ as the infamous lyrics ‘Cut the
mid range drop the bass’ bellowed out in the Kasbah.
The House Crew carried on to play a plethora of their
renowned tracks ‘We are hardcore’, ‘The theme’ a favourite of
mine which does not get played enough, ‘Superhero’ and finished
off with ‘Euphoria’.
Penultimate set of the night came from Nicky Blackmarket it’s
not often he plays a 92-94 set and this was well worth the wait.
Nicky opened up with ‘Baptised by dub’ moved onto ‘Exodus’ and
the Slammin’ vinyl classic ‘Original badboy’ which had the crowd
jumping. Chalkie White was brilliant throughout the set in his
element whilst interacting with the crowd.
Nicky upped the tempo as he dropped ‘Ephemerol’, ‘Bell Tune’
and ‘Chaos Julia – Atmosphere’ some proper 93 darkside business.
The Bukem trinity was unleashed with the mighty ‘Music’,
‘Horizons’ and ‘Atlantis’ which had the crowd calling for the
rewind after each track, eventually closing off with his own
classic ‘Have you got any more spam’.
Closing the night was the Kings of the oldskool the Ratpack,
at this point the main arena turned into a sardine tin as the
whole of the Amnesia crowd assembled into the main room for the
final hour. In true Ratpack form Mark opened up with ‘Searchin’
for my Rizla’ to start the proceedings.
Mark and Ev ensured no one was left standing still as they
rocked the crowd throwing in all the party classics ‘I feel this
way’, ‘Move your body’ and ‘Closer to all your dreams’. Evenson
commanded the crowd with his infamous ‘Oi oiiii’ and had the
Kasbah singing along especially when the Ratpack anthem ‘Captain
of the Ship’ was played.
The Ratpack closed the proceedings with Njoi’s ‘Anthem’ along
with the mash-up of Sweet Harmony and Brothers Sisters before
send the crowd home with Pete Bouncer’s Raving I’m Raving
Another fantastic party from the Amnesia crew, the tune
selection in the main arena was spot on, I really enjoyed the PA
from House Crew plenty of classics I’ve not heard in a long
while and Nicky Blackmarket was my set of the evening, whilst
the Ratpack do what they do best closing the night with a party
set.
A little thin in the main arena compared to previous parties
though it did pick up as the day went on especially for the
final 3 hours as the main arena turned into a sardine tin.
